About Arty Spot's creator

Here is a short bio about the creator of Arty Spot, Karen Jackman, in her own words:

"I have been making art since 2008,  in acrylics, oils and mixed media. I am a journalist and photographer by career working originally in my birth country of South Africa, and then onto Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong, where I pursued my love for painting in earnest from 2008. The purpose of creating art is to add joy to my life challenge myself and do art because it;s Fun!

This website was originally intended to showcase my own work, but it has evolved into a space to offer my art in all its forms for sale to those who love quirky arty things, promote events, workshops and offer a small range quality art supplies. Above all to encourage a love of all things arty - just because it's fun!
